What to Expect When You Hire Us
Hiring an HVAC contractor can come with questions about cost, timing, warranties, and what happens before work begins. We want families to understand what to expect so they can make an informed decision. Here are answers to some of the questions homeowners ask most often before scheduling service.
How quickly can you schedule service?
We offer immediate service 24 hours a day, including same-day service.
What factors most affect the cost of a repair or installation?
For repairs, cost is affected largely by the time required to complete the work. Larger components, such as compressors and coils, typically take more time to repair or replace and can increase the cost.
For system replacements, the installation setup also matters. An upright system in a garage, a system installed in a closet, or equipment hanging in an attic can each require a different installation process, which affects the overall cost.
What should be included in a written estimate before work begins?
Our proposals outline the work we plan to complete in the home. That may include replacing the indoor and outdoor equipment and thermostat, connecting to existing ductwork and electrical, or replacing electrical components or copper when those items are part of the project.
The goal is to make sure you know what to expect before work begins and what the completed project is intended to include. When our installers arrive, we review the proposal with you, go through the work planned for that day, and get a second agreement from you before moving forward.
What does a typical service call or diagnostic visit include?
A diagnostic visit includes the steps needed to identify the problem with the system. Once we understand what is happening, we can present repair or replacement options depending on the system's condition and age.
We also perform a multi-point inspection rather than looking only at the immediate problem. Our team checks for other conditions that may be outside the manufacturer's specifications and could be contributing to the issue.
How do you confirm the total cost before starting a job?
All quotes are presented to the homeowner on paper or in a document before work begins. The homeowner must approve the quote and sign our pre-authorization before we proceed.
We do not repair parts first and then come back afterward to tell you what the work costs.
How do you prevent unexpected charges during a project?
We use a multi-point inspection to look beyond the specific issue that brought us to the home. Our team checks the overall system for other parts or electrical components, such as a capacitor, that may be contributing to the failure.
We want to identify those conditions and evaluate the system against manufacturer specifications before providing the repair quote.
What happens if something goes wrong after the job is completed?
We have an escalation system within our management team to ensure 100% customer satisfaction. If a customer has a problem, we can dispatch lead technicians, supervisors, or managers as needed to address the concern and work toward a positive experience.
What does your workmanship guarantee cover?
For repairs, our workmanship guarantee is 90 days. It does not include maintenance-related items or acts of God or nature.
For system replacements, our workmanship warranty is a minimum of one year and covers workmanship-related system issues during that first year. It does not include homeowner maintenance items, such as a dirty filter or clogged drain line, or damage caused by events such as lightning or other acts of God or nature.
How long does a typical appointment or installation take?
We typically allocate about one hour for a diagnostic visit. Depending on the repair, the work may take approximately two to four hours.
Installation timing can vary by project, so our team can confirm what to expect based on the specific work being completed.
When should a homeowner request emergency or same-day service?
An emergency is based on what is urgent for you and your family. We are available to run a call when the situation is an emergency for you, whether that is during the day or at 9:00 at night.
We do not try to dictate what should or should not feel urgent in your home.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, checks, cash, financing, and other major credit cards.
Do you offer financing for larger repairs or installations?
Yes. Financing is available for repairs, system replacements, home improvement projects, and indoor air quality products. We offer a variety of financing plans, including same-as-cash options and extended-term payment options.
The available plan depends on the type of service being financed, so our team can walk you through the options that apply.
How are your technicians trained and vetted before entering a home?
All of our technicians are NATE certified. We also have a training school inside our facility with a dedicated trainer.
Experienced technicians complete at least a one-month onboarding and training process. New technicians entering the trade complete a 90-day training course before they are allowed to perform basic work.
How can homeowners verify a contractor is licensed and insured?
In Florida, homeowners can verify contractor information through the Department of Business and Professional Regulation, or DBPR. Our license information is also available on our website.
We have a certified contractor and carry a $1 million, $2 million aggregate insurance policy. Customers who need to verify our insurance information can call our team directly.
How can I confirm you service my area?
Call our team with your address, and one of our customer service representatives can confirm whether service is available in your area. Service ZIP codes are also listed on our website.
How do labor and manufacturer warranties work after installation?
Manufacturer warranty coverage can vary by equipment. Most manufacturers offer a 10-year parts warranty, while some offer 12 years. Extended labor warranty options may also be available for purchase through the manufacturer.
We primarily work with Daikin products. Daikin equipment comes with a standard 12-year parts warranty, and we offer an option to purchase a 12-year labor warranty. We also provide a minimum one-year labor warranty as standard with all installations.
How should homeowners evaluate contractor reviews and reputation?
Reviews matter, but how a company responds when something does not go perfectly matters too. No company is perfect, so we pay attention to how concerns are resolved, where we can improve, and how we take care of the customer experience.
Customers often describe their experience with our team as timely and professional, with knowledgeable technicians, quality installations, and good overall customer service.
How can customers contact your team after service if they need support?
You can contact our team through the forms on our website, by calling the phone number listed on your air conditioner, or by email.
